Office Policies
To schedule an appointment with Northeast Plastic Surgery Center, please call or email our office. Our staff’s primary goal is your utmost satisfaction, which includes accommodating our mutual schedules as efficiently as possible, and we make every attempt to meet requests for specific dates and times. With our scheduling practices, we strive to keep waiting time to a minimum.
Late Cancellation / No-Show Policy
If you are unable to maintain your scheduled appointment, we kindly request that you provide us with at least 48 hours advance notice. All cancellations are to be made, by phone, directly to the office staff and not with our answering service or other means of communication. This courtesy on your part will allow another patient to accept your appointment time. Failure to cancel your appointment at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time, or failure to show up to your appointment, will result in a $50.00 fee applied to your account. It is required that this balance be paid in full before any future appointments with us can be arranged. Please note, insurances do not cover late cancellation or no-show fees and payment is the sole responsibility of the patient. Thank you in advance for your adherence to this policy.
Billing & Payment
Co-payments are due at the time of your office visit. We accept cash, check, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, and Discover.
Insurance
As the healthcare environment continues to evolve, it is most prudent to speak to our office to determine whether we participate with your particular insurance carrier. Even if we are non-participating with your provider, our team will make every effort to work with your carrier to enable us to see you in consultation and for any required surgery. Depending upon the services you require, our staff will help determine if your procedure is likely eligible for insurance coverage.
Cosmetic Surgery
Cosmetic surgical procedures are generally not covered by insurance, although reconstructive procedures and specific aesthetic procedures may qualify for coverage based upon functional deficits. The surgical fees are based upon the type and extent of treatment that you require.
Cosmetic Surgery Fees
We do not charge a fee for our initial cosmetic personal consultation with Dr. Pathy or Dr. Shah. Should you be a candidate for surgery, an estimate will be given to you based upon the particular procedure desired and your examination.
For cosmetic surgical operations, your total charge can be subdivided into several components: the hospital or facility fee, the anesthesia fee, the surgeon’s fee, the assistant’s fee (if any) and the costs for any implantable devices that may be required for your surgery, such as breast implants. If laboratory tests and radiographic examinations, such as x-rays, are required, you may be responsible for these charges as well.
The facility fee, the anesthesia services fee, the surgeon’s fee, the assistant’s fee, and the fee for any applicable accessories necessary for the surgery are due at least 2 weeks prior to services being rendered.
All regular post-operative visits are included within the cost of your cosmetic surgery.
If Northeast Plastic Surgery Center determines that revision surgery related to your initial cosmetic procedure is appropriate, the surgeon’s fee may be waived during the first 6 months. However, you will remain financially responsible for ancillary fees, such as the facility, anesthesia, laboratory, and accessory fees.
Financing
We are pleased to offer financing options on a variety of our cosmetic surgical procedures. Financing may be available through CareCredit®, the nation’s leading provider of patient financing programs, which is a program endorsed by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.
