Male Breast Surgery (Gynecomastia)
Enlargement of breasts is not relegated to females alone. While boys can sometimes develop varying sizes of breasts during puberty, it is often self-limited, resolving on its own without further treatment.
Men can develop enlargement of breasts (gynecomastia) which can be secondary to a variety of factors, including a number of medications.
Treatment options include liposuction, direct excision of excess breast tissue, and/or removal of excess skin.
A number of incision options may be discussed at the consultation, depending upon the volume of breast tissue, fat, and skin that has to be removed.
